According to the Press Conference by Sichuan Emei International Wushu Festival Organizing Committee, the third China Sichuan International Emei Wushu Festival will be held in Emei Maintain from August 10 to August 15.

 

It is reported that Emei Wushu has a history of three thousand years and has formed the character of a combination of inflexibility and yielding and focus on the improvement inwards and outwards, being among the three major wushu schools along with Shaolin and Wudang.

 

With the theme of “inheriting traditional culture, praying blessing for Emei Maintain and enjoying high-quality life”, the main activities of this wushu festival include traditional wushu competition, Wulin Conference 2011 Emei Swords Challenge Tournament, the performance of opening ceremony, Emei Wushu Forum, Buddhist culture activity, Summit Supremacy and other activities. Among all the activities, traditional wushu competition, Wulin Conference 2011 Emei Swords Challenge Tournament and Summit Supremacy are last important programs.

 

Approved by Chinese General Bureau of Sports and organized by Chinese Wushu Association, Sports Bureau of Sichuan Province and People’s Government of Leshan City, China Sichuan International Emei Wushu Festival is an international wushu event and held every two years.
