Zhu Ruiqi was born in 1950 in Guangdong province and graduated in Beijing Sports College. Now he is Head of Wushu Department of Beijing Sports College as well as professor and Doctoe Supervisor. He is also member of Chinese Wushu Association, Vice Director of Wushu Association and counsel for Beijing Wushu Association.
When he was quite young, Zhu Ruiqi has begun studying Nan Quan, Xingyi Quan, Taiji Quan, etc. In college, he learnt Long Fist, Zha Boxing, Xingyi Boxing, Taiji Boxing and so on.
Since 1979 Zhu started teaching, training and research on Wushu, and bring about number of Wushu championships. He is rewarded as one of the hundred of outstanding persons in Wushu field, and got a certificate of 8th grade of Chinese Wushu Degree System. He is one international Wushu referee who has been appointed as general referee for many international Wushu competitions.
As for books, he has edited and published tens of works on Sanshou such as Chinese Wushu Sanshou Teaching Book, Chinese Sanshou, etc.
